Is the HP Pavilion tx2500z series worth buying? I am mainly interested in the touch screen. How versatile is the touchscreen / pen? Am I able to take handwritten notes and have it automatically translated to digital text, and can I use it to draw?

Are there any limitations to this model? It appears to be small, compact, and lightweight but I am curious about the battery life and CPU performance.

Check out these forums. www.tabletpcreview.com I bought a TX2000z in May and I love it.

I use OneNote 2007 for handwritten notes and it does a fairly good job of converting handwriting to text. It isn't automatic but a converter tool that you can use. It converts with a few errors, but I can't comment on large amounts of text since I don't convert all that often. Don't know if I would handwrite a 5 page essay and convert it. I'd rather just type that out. As for drawing, I would assume it would do an good job of it.. but I think the forums that I linked has some posts about drawing on a tablet.

There are some reviews coming out on the TX2500z. I'm waiting for definitive reviews on it before I decide to return my TX2000z for a TX2500z.
