First off, I dont play with laptop, work on it but did not open it until this one.
I have it for 3 years, already on the 3rd hard drive.
The laptop is hot and I mean hot ...
Finally, I decide to open it up and can't beleive it ... the hard drive is right above the CPU with nothing between ... It's actually on top of the CPU ... talk about a bad design.
Is there anyway to reduce the heat problem ?
Right now I am using a cooler pad and my laptop has become a desktop 🙁

Check the heatsink(s) for dust clumps. I've seen several laptops brutally overheated by dust hiding inside heatsinks(especially the shrouded ones, where it is hard to see it). Be careful to immobilize the fan with your fingers or something(spinning it too fast can kill it) and then use canned air to blast dust out of the heatsink, if any exists. And, be sure to blast said dust out, not further into the guts of the machine.

Is there any way you can maybe thermally insulate the space between the hdd and cpu? As long as the CPU heat is being vented it'll be preferrable to heating up your hdd...

Thanks for the advices !
I will open the laptop again when I have a chance and let you guys know 🙂
