where the hell do you enter in the code for the discount? i checked all the steps up to confirm payment and i still don't see it

Ok i found out. There is already a instant savings of 100 bucks. When you enter the coupon, the instant savings doesnt add on so this really is only 100 dollars off. Hows that for marketing? The coupon codes have to be entered when you enter your credit card information, careful not to click sumbit otherwise you cannot cancel your order.

I havent been able to replicate the op's price of 775 with free shipping as the instant savings and coupon DOESNT STACK.

Dell coupons don't stack either. If you use 35% off and it's already at 20% off then you only get an additional 15% off. I never said coupons stack, and $1025 is the price before $100 off. You can't get $775 anymore because the rebate is over. Check my post again.

Do the Home Store coupons work in the Educational/APP store? I thought APP was a subset of Home so it should work but I'm getting an invalid message. I'm using the code from NoteBookReview.com's deal page.

I double checked and indeed the Educational/APP/EPP site doesn't take the coupon. I made sure I'm over $999 before any price reduction and still no luck. So it is cheaper using the Home instead of the Educational.

Unfortunately, I can pickup a Dell with higher screen resolution and Core Duo 2 for less than the DV2000t with Core Duo (not Core Duo 2). I'd jump on the HP if the prices were more in line with Dell on the CPU as I think the build quality is probably better on the DV2000t than an E1404 (or whatever Dells model of the day is).

You are right, but DV2000t is customizable with a dedicated video(gf 7200) card for a good price while E1404 is only available with integrated intel 950. DV2000t also looks much better imo. Since the rebate is over, of course, it may not be comparable with Dell's price. It may still be to some.

i been reading reviews on e1405 and dv2000t for a week now.

e1405 cnet user reviews mention something about poor screen quality.

dv2000t - Intel version is a winner, some does not like glossy screen. bettery last forever.
amd x2 model is not good due to (dv2000z) lower peroformance and shorter battery power.

Compaq v3000 sibling of dv2000t. a bit simpler look then dv2000t you can save a bit of money by getting it.

Does anyone know how well this will this thing play Day of Defeat? I really would like to have a laptop to replace my desktop but still be able to play Day of Defeat.

Thanks

Anyone have some benchmarks on that T2050? I'm looking for comparisons between that and the ML-34
