HP Pavilion dv2000 problem

This seems to be a common problem with these laptops.I know of three people now with the same problem.
Loads windows fine,works for a while then just freezes.reboot and again works for a while than freezes.All past warrenty.Is this enough of a clue to get a reasonable solution to the problem?

Disable the Automatic Reboot on Error. When the BSOD appears notate the error text and Stop Error number.

1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.
4. Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times.
5. Restart your computer for the settings to take effect.
