HP Pavilion and new mouse and keyboard

I have yet to recieve a reply from HP, I have to keep the stock keyboard and mouse pluged in to reboot. And unplug the new mouse and keyboard before I reboot. Didn't see anything in the bios that would help. If the other mouse or keyboard is pluged in, it won't even post up. Any ideas?........beside stop buying propritary crap

It shouldn't matter. Have you checked your Bios settings? Not sure what board you have. It should detect the mouse and kb and post. It might install new drivers. But it still should boot to windows. And windows will install new drivers if needed.
