Hi there!

Newbie here, but I'm looking for a method to overclock a 566 mHz Celeron in an HP Pavilion 6645C. I just need a little boost to the CPU and buying another simply does not seem feasible. Thank you.

Not feasible either. HP writes their own bioses, with no overclocking options whatsoever. You can't overclock computers that you buy already built, unless it's an expensive one, that has a brand-name, overclock-friendly motherboard.

Whoops. Last post was blank.

Thanks for the info. Would a CPU upgrade be feasible and if so, what's the upper limit on Hz? Cost need not be counted as a factor.

You may be able to get up to 1.3GHz using a Powerleap adaptor. But it also may not be compatible with your motherboard since it's a proprietory HP one.
