Just to let you guys know, I work for HP in the photosmart division, and that is a GREAT price for the printer.. I've supported Deskjets, Pavilions, and Photosmart, and this printer is one of the best products I've ever supported.. It's insanely fast, has an LCD that tells you if/when anything is wrong and you can pop a flash card into the side and print straight off of it. Anyone in the market for a home printer, especially if you are into digital photography, go for this deal. This thing prints on photo paper and looks like real photos..

BTW, I don't even work directly for HP so I'm not trying to be a salesman here, I just think its a really good deal.. These things used to be $500 less than 6 months ago

I just bought a Photosmart P1000 for $299 a month ago.
Well, anyways, this is one kick a$$ printer. As brows said, this thing is fasttttttt!
especially when printing text. Even for a high quality full-size picture, it takes about a minute to 1 1/2 minute. And you can use your digital camera card thingies with it, just slide it into the side, and no need for a computer. I would heartily reccomend it to anyone, and the P1100 for this price is a HOT HOT deal.

My guess is that it's a refurbished model. The Office depot by me had the printers and 4200C scanners really cheap. The scanner was CDN$100-CDN$50 rebate and the printer was about CDN$250 with the same rebate.

This is not a refurb, it is brand new, factory sealed. This IS the P1100 with the duplexer, not the P1000.

They are on clearence because the new models are out. I ended up getting the P1215 which replaces the P1000. The P1218 replaces the P1100.
