I'm looking to get a decent printer to print out pictures from a digital camera. Looking to pay around $200. Been looking at the HP P1000 and Canon S600. Anyone have any comments about these or recommend something different?
Thanks
The HP 1000 has two different memory card readers built into it which is pretty unique and could be useful for what you plan to do with it, but maybe the Canon has this feature too and you are just trying to decide. If the features are the same, my personal choice would be the Canon. I have enjoyed both of the Canons that I have had.
I have the HP PhotoSmart P1000, and it prints AWESOME digital cam photos, just like a normal photo from film, make sure you dont use ret, use the setting 2400x1200 DPI setting...... its worth the extra $100 for this printer....
Go with the HP for sure. Not only will it take your cards from your digital camera, it also has the IR port for printing from your hand-held device or laptop (or desktop if you want)
Although the cartridges are a bit more expensive (and only uses 2 to canons 4), it will be better in the end, as you get your new ink head on every HP cartridge.
Also, you can add on the 2-sided printing tray if you wish to as well (around $75-$80??)
At $199, you get a decent deal on it. Also, if you go to your local Staples store, you can use your $30 off $150 purchace order code (if your order online), and get free shipping because its over $50.
I would go with the HP P1000, because of all that has been said, but two I have to point out are. With the P1000 you can print via the IR only from digital cameras no PDA, and to make the P1000 an even better deal order it from staples and use the 40off200 coupon.
