HP officejet 4110 system requirement

Dear All,

want to know what is the minimum system requirement does this all-in-one printer needs.

when i connect it with my usb, it just keeps popup up the "new hardware" found balloon. and it is blocking my desktop process.

The last statement after i install the driver from the cd, it said the hardware wan't installed properly and access denied something like that..

I have a ABit BE6 motherboard, however i will be upgrading very very soon... but i don't know if it is the problem or the printers problem.

so any ideas?

thanks

WinXP pro

i've tried both ways.

if i disconnect/unplug before i install the cd, during installation, it will ask me to connect the print in order to continue.

I have the Officejet 7130, and it only likes USB2, does your board support that? If not, that could be the problem.

people keep telling me if i don't have usb2.0 supported, it could be a problem, and the HP guy said that it couldn't be a problem at all.

but the fact is, my board doesn't support usb2.0( i think),

my board is a Abit Be6(a Pentium 3 board)

so, i don't know if it will support, i already lost the user manual..

and the user manual for officejet 4110 doesn't say system requirement.

Well, I guess the next step is to DL the latest drivers from HP, and use thier installer, and see if that does it.

I have the same printer...

Used it on a USB 1.1 machine... no problems....

Get the latest installer from HP, run install, and plug it in ONLY when the software asks you to.

There are a lot of known issues and solutions listed on HP's support site...

See if this issue is discussed...
