A number of months ago I posted a link to an Ebay auction I found for an engineering sample of a socket 939 Sempron.

HP gets early dips on a lot of AMDs new chips. Last summer they had the Mobile XP 2800+, which was not a Socket A laptop chip but rather a s754 A64 with the 64-bit capability disabled and the cache cut down. The chip was basically a Sempron, but it came out before the Sempron came out so it was labeled an AXP Mobile.

I would love to have Semprons released for S939. Figure about $70-100 for a Sempron, $80-100 for a Radeon Xpress based mobo. $50 each for a HD, 512MB RAM and cheap case and DVD burner. Add in a little for any shipping & handling cost and that would be one kick ass budget system that has tons of upgradeability.
