Hello all!
I want to upgrade my dad's laptop, COMPAQ Presario F730US to 2 sticks of 1gb each for total of 2gb RAM - it is choking on 1gb...

I found this memory for just $8 per stick AR:

GK995AT

Will the two be compatible?

TIA

P.S. It is out of stock at the moment, would be nice if someone could help find it in stock for similar price (28-20MIR).

That is the correct RAM according to this conversation:

Act FAST.

Did you click the link??? Did you look at the pretty picture? You can/could have looked up the part number (on google) and saw what other places display it as, such as:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/app...ASE&CMP=OTC-GOOGLEBASE

And as per OCZ's webpage:

2GB Dual Channel Kit PN - OCZ26672048VSO-K

I complain because the RAM was in small envelope, smaller than a magazine, and about as thick as "Time" magazine. Kids next door could have stepped on it (we share a balcony, it was lying on strip of concrete which you walk on to get to other apartments). By stepping on RAM it's possible to crush it. So I was worried if I didn't pick it up soon, it could be crushed or even blown away by wind!

As for which company rocks, depends on your local driver.
I agree about DHL being teh suck.

FedEx is top notch company (and my local driver is awesome dude). Shipping with FedEx is so expensive I don't even know if they leave at the office...couple times I used FedEx I was at home when the delivery came.

UPS is great because driver leaves packages in apartment office & tries to speak russian with me (he learned a few words, heh heh heh).
