HP nc6000 - Hard drive stuck?

I have a HP nc6000 and attempted to remove the HDD today. Per the instructions, I removed the screw and opened the cover to access the HDD. I grabbed the tab on the HDD and attempted to pull it out of the shell. The HDD will not budge. It does not move at all. I even pulled the tab on the HDD with a pair of pliers and it still wouldn't move.

Any idea what the problem is and how I can get this thing out?

This picture shows a typical HP drive assembly, caddy and all, removed and turned face up. It goes in the laptop bay face down. This is a bit different than the nc6000, It slides out sideways as in pages 94 and 95 in the above PDF file.

HP Caddy

Unless it has become swollen from heat or something, the drive assembly should slide out when the tab is pulled.

Ooops! One screw is not enough. There are TWO to remove before pulling on the tab. No wonder!
