Wohoooo...thanks for all the blessing and wishing from the lovely anand community. THe meeting was a great success.

I got to meet the CEO and several Top executives from my division. BEst of all..our team is greatly honoured and congratulated by them for our hard work during the christmas season which generated immense sales. Hey..not bad for a 19 year old part-timer while going to school and holding a decent position @ HP. For dinner..it was japan sushi and pizza GALORE haha...BEST of all..i got a nice performance bonus from and it solves lots of tuition headache :D

Since it was a 3 hour commute from home to the office..at end of the meeting around 10PM I even got a ride home from one of the execs...wohoooo...HP teh best!!!

i highly doubt they will ship out critical business divisions to asia/india..

i work in the sales/marketing/promotions and a lil bit of finance. I doub't they will ask some indian guys who speak no english to take over our job. In fact, everyone at HP Canada is in business divsion, all the IT people are already booted.

and No not carly fiorina.i met the Canadian HP CEO Paul Tsaparis.
I met carly a while ago in a conference at york business school.

English is the official language of India (as they have so many dialects it's hard to decide on anything else). Plus, all educated Indians have excellent English.

Dell support in India is just as inept as it was in US. Also the as they say "you get what you pay for" also applies in india. They pay lousy therefore they get lousy help. Oh and HP has been ousourcing leader so far.

What kinda wheels did the VP have?

suprise suprise...she drove a Subaru something. No one at HP is very extravagent and it is our corporate culture. The CEO don't have his own room either. The execs's desk are at the same place with regular employees.

Then he exec's were probably in the lower level of the foodchain.

HP is a huge company, I highly doubt the real CEO wouldn't have his own office.

How can you work in business and have such poor English skills? I hope you have no interaction with real customers.

Congrats on the celebration and bonus.
