HP Laserjet 6L question

About that paper feed problem these printers have.... Anyone have any experience with the separation kit that is supposed to fix this? I read it's a one shot deal but how long will it last once the kit has been installed. In other words, or how many sheets can I expect to run through it before I throw it in the trash?

Thanks!

There is a free "fix" available. They are going to ship it to you free.
Please see my old LaserJet 5L/6L FS threads...

it's a piece of plastic you insert with a rather stiff collection of cardboard. it works fine. i've had it for over a year, still going.

Thanks... anyone have an idea of how long the fix will last, in terms of prints? In other words, should I stop keeping a backup toner cartridge on hand and just buy a new one when the old one peters out?
