how do you find the memory of a HP laserjet 5?? To find the memory in the laserjet 4 series you just need to turn it off and back on and it will display when it is booting up. Although, this doesnt work for the 5 series. Anyone have any ideas how to find it in the menu or something?
 
I think it should say on the self-test page.

I don't know the menu though off the top of my head...
 
HP Laserjet 5 or 5M:

1. Press Menu until TEST MENU appears on the printer display.
2. Press Item until PRINT SELF TEST appears on the panel.
3. Press Select, and the panel will read PRINTING CONFIGURATION PAGE.
 
I probably should have guessed at that one.... pretty obvious I guess.

Exacatly like the 4s.
