HP Laserjet 4 Plus paper jamming

Printer was working fine until my wife got a paper jam. She tried to pull the jammed paper out. She says she pulled it both from the tray and from underneath the toner by removing the toner. She says she had to pull very hard *sigh*

Anyway, now the paper jams every time. It seems to jam right underneath the toner. It doesn't want to go any further. Here are some pictures of the jam. Can anyone help me with this? I have no clue what to do.

When I first turned on the printer I heard a small clicking sound. It doesn't seem to do it anymore.

I found this but am not sure if this is what i need:

It may be that the drum is whacked out, if everything else fails I would give that a shot. You shouldn't have to buy new toner. Also give the inside a good cleaning w/ rubbing alcohol, etc.

Check your phone book (or online) for a local repair shop and see what it would cost to repair, it sounds like the drum or toner cartridge may have been damaged based on what your describing most likely if you take it to a local repair place they can at least diagnose the issue for you (likely w/out a charge if your lucky 🙂 )

I don't understand why you are all referring to the drum or toner.

The printer actually prints. See the pictures above. It seems to be some kind of feeding problem. The paper goes from the tray into the printer. The paper is printed on. It then jams just before the fuser. When I pull the toner out, as shown in the photos above, the paper is just below the toner. It is folded or bent.

Are you referring to the movie Office Space...haven't seen it
