can someone tell me what the difference
and what is HPA stand for, and what are their meanings?
search HP website which is no help, try to find email to ask them, guest what, you get to the point where you find the link, when you click on it, it take you right back to the beginning, which mean, emailing them is not even an option

HPA and TFT are 2 different technology's that are used to combat the washed out look of dual-scan screens. A dual scan screen uses only 1 (maybe 2) transistors to drive all the liquid crystals. This causes the screen to be not as bright and look more washed up.

HPA screens use a few more transistors to drive the liquid crystals and thus make the screen look better. HPA stands for High Performance Addressing.

TFT stands for Thin Film Transistor. Each liquid crystal gets its own tiny transitor. The screens look inifinetly better than dual-scan screens and a little better than HPA screens.

Its been a while since I researched LCD screens so it is likely that I got a few of the the details wrong, but the main difference is the brightness of the screens and this relates to the number of transistors driving the screen.
