last week my laptops hard drive crashes for the second time in two months. so i think, this laptop might have other problems.
send it to hp, get a call today and the fvcking rep tells me that there is liquid spillage to the motherboard. i start laughing and tell him that my hard drive crashed nothing else, he tells me to hold. 10 minutes later the prick "manager" tells me that there is coffee on the motherboard.
i am fuming, about ready to choke the fvck over the phone. i dont even drink coffee let alone let liquids get near this laptop.
the guy says it's $650 for a new motherboard. i laugh at him and say just send me the fvcking computer back with a new hard drive. he says that the spillage voids the warranty and he can't give me a new hard drive. so i just tell the rep to give me my computer back.
he counters with there is now a $150 evaluation fee since they didn't fix it and it aint a warranty repair.
fvck hp/compaq, i is sticking with dell and sony from now on.

To Whom It May Concern:
I purchased a laptop from your company in October of 2004 with the intention of it being my only computer. My other experiences with your company were nothing short of spectacular.
Within the first two weeks after using the laptop the hard drive crashed. All of my applications were lost as well as my client data and personal files. I had to restore a backup from before I received the laptop, luckily I had that backup.
Last week the hard drive crashes again. The tech support guy that I talked to said he will send out another hard drive as soon as possible. He also had the idea to send it in lest it be something other than the hard drive. I waited for the packaging to arrive and sent in my laptop to the repair facility.
On January 19, 2005 I received a call from the service facility saying that there was damage done to the computer that is not covered under the warranty. He informed me that there was coffee spillage on the motherboard. I do not ever drink coffee, nor let any liquids near this laptop. I cannot remember the last time I had ever had coffee in my life. I informed the representative this and he said that the facility says that there was damage by coffee. I then informed him that I had a faulty hard drive not a messed up motherboard.
Your company has my laptop hostage. He informed me that the repair would cost $650. I told him that I just want my laptop back with the replaced hard drive. He said that since there was damage to the motherboard that voids the warranty, he cannot give me a new hard drive. I then asked him to just send my laptop back, that is when he informed me that he would be happy to send me my laptop back as soon as I pay a $150 evaluation fee. This is ridiculous.
My laptop had a faulty hard drive, it had one before and it had one again. The laptop worked magnificently, except for when the hard drive crashed. This mystical damage to the motherboard did not exist when I had the computer. I would like my laptop back fixed or a full refund as soon as possible.
