Office Depot has had these on clearance for a couple weeks, so you may have trouble finding any left. I checked all stores from Seattle to Olympia, WA and found 1 at one store, 2 at another. Good Luck!

HP 48GX Graphing Calculator sku: 548-156, Originally $154.99, a week ago $46.49, today $39.49!

HP 49G Graphing Calculator sku: 285-681, Originally $184.99, a week ago $55.49, today $29.49!

You, most likely, can price adjust if you can find one in stock for a lower price at the store you purchased it from. Otherwise:

1) If they are in stock at another OD location, you could buy one there and return it (the brand new one) to the other store with your original receipt.

2) If they aren't in stock anywhere you won't find it at a lowerprice because they usually only lower clearance prices for items in stock.

Doh.. couldn't find any in San Jose, CA. Anyone with leads in the bay area? I'm heading down to San Francisco tomorrow, so I'm willing to give it another shot over there.

I thought that they just quit making/developing new ones. wasn't it just the R&D that they shut down?

I think you're right, but some people like to spread FUD w/o corroboration.

I found a display 49G, no box, no nothing at all. Just a calc. It turns on. 29.44
What's supposed to be in the box in addition to the manual? It's supposed to have some sort of cables/ power supply?
I mean they gave me free 1 year extension to warranty, but is it worth it?

OOS in Rochester, NY. Can somebody pick one up for me if you find an OD that still has them in stock? I'll pay the shipping and some extra $ for the effort :)

Wow, I sure could use one of those. I hate living in the sticks. If anyone is interested in selling one of these to me, please PM.

Well, I forgot to mention that if you are looking for this in Chicago area, the computer inventory shows display units of 49G are still available at Naperville (don't know which one), Lombard and St. Charles stores. I came by Elk Grove store which also showed 1, but they had none.

This is super HOT if you can get one!! Hp calculator using RPN are the best! Once you get the hang of it, you will never go back to plain algerbraic calculators...

i picked up a plain 49g from the third office depot i visited. the first one i visited, one of the employees was nice and took the time to look up the stocks and called one of the other office depots and put it on hold for me. he even gave me the location of another place where both were in stock (the call couldnt get through) and gave me a 10 dollar off 50 dollar coupon to use with it ($40 + $30 - $10). unfortunately, the store told me that they didnt have either one in stock, it was a glitch in the system (BS). but i had the 49g on hold, so i went and bought that. all i got was exactly was obviousman got

Woohoo! I found a 48 GX at an Office Depot in Arvada (suburb of Denver) and then they found me a 49g at an Office Depot in Downtown Denver. I got 10% off the price of the 49g because it was a display. $28 with tax.

Good find!
