Laptop will not boot to it's own screen but when connected to a seperate monitor it boots to windows but slowely. Is it safe to say the computer monitor is shot? I re-seated the memory and HD and removed the battery like other threads recommend but nothing until hooked to stand alone monitor. Just want to make sure before tearing it down.

Any help is appreciated.
