My EliteBook 8740w makes a pretty annoying high-pitched electronics whine. I'd say somewhere around 10KHz.
It's definitely not the power supply since the screeching goes on even if I unplug it so it's either the monitor or the internal voltage regulators.
Can anyone with this notebook tell me if this is a model problem or is it just my particular notebook?
