hp dvd writer 300n firmware flash

Hey is there a way to flash a hp dvd writer 300n to be able to write to dvd-r media ?? Thanks.

No. As far as i know, the only dvd burners that can write to both DVD-R and DVD+R are the dual format burners. The rest can only write to one or the other.
