I got in on the dvd300i when they had these about a month ago. I Like the drive, and the price was right.
These are the older model, but at the price, you can't go wrong....comes with all software too.
Anyone have any luck in converting these to externals? I may buy one for my laptop if i can
 
This is not a 4x. Got one from Staples clearance sale for $65 after coupon awhile back. Haven't recieved my external enclosure yet. But it's coming and I hope to try it soon.
 
I really want a DVD-RW for my laptop, and the externals are a lot more than this....how much was the nclosure that you are getting?
