I'm asking because wasn't the dv4000 originally offered with integrated graphics only? I see that it's now offered with a Mobility Radeon X700, but since I haven't looked at that notebook in a long time, I have no idea as to how long it's been offered with that option. I realize that this is not a gaming notebook, but it just seems like such a shame for an otherwise incredible machine (at least on paper). Just hoping HP decides to eventually offer an X700 like it did with the dv4000 or maybe a MR X1300 (non-HyperMemory).

No word on those EXISTING yet, and I wouldn't expect it. ATI is having enough trouble fulfilling desktop card orders.

No, that's the zd8000. The dv8000 uses Turion64's.

Yeah, I know. But maybe eventually.

So am I correct in thinking the dv4000 was originally offered with integrated graphics only?

Yes you are correct. The dv4000 used to be integrated only. The dv8000 is the new turion 17" correct? If that is the one I thought I saw that it was going to have the same x700 that the dv4000 has now. I could be wrong though.
