Picked one of these up last week and its not reading cds properly, if at all. Two install cds arent recognized at all, a couple music cds are recognized, one skips/ freezes during playback. I fired off an email to HP and they said its dvd only? It says compact disc on the front of the drive, nero infotool claims a bunch of CD support, I've never heard of a cutting edge DVD-RAM drive with lightscribe that didnt have cd support, and best buys cached webpage says..

"Multiformat DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with double-layer support records up to 8.5GB of data or 4 hours of video using compatible DVD+R DL media; also supports LightScribe direct-disc labels using compatible LightScribe media"

..but I'm new to laptop drives? Am I clueless or is the guy at HP?
