HP DV6000 Series (Screen Problems)

I recently found an DV6000 laptop in the trash (DV6308NR is the exact model #) The screen is NOT cracked (Which is great!:biggrin🙂 However it is very dim and the FN and F7 and F8 keys (which control the brightness) do nothing
I have another computer with a cracked screen (15.4 One CCFL backlight) the exact type of screen that the HP uses and I was wondering (Before I go digging into either computer) Which is bad the inverter or the CCFL lamp? The "Extra" screen I have has a good lamp and inverter but the screen is cracked

Thanks

PS I have the service manuals for both computers and I am good working with small parts so this is a job I can tackle myself

Thanks Anandtech Computer Forums

Never-mind it was the inverter (The connection was loose and arcing so I cleaned it off and plugged it back in and I have a free working computer)
Thanks
