HP Desktops

Hi, ive been having a look round the net but cant find any info from HP regarding this....the units which come with i5 and i3 w\ VGA and DP, can you also use them with discrete cards or does the BIOS switch the onboard off period...

You either use onboard graphics or discrete. You cannot use both.

Hmmm, can you tell me then, which chipset allows onboard and GPU to work simultaneously?..Im quite sure I had read it somewhere, but could be wrong...

I seem to recall the Z68 chip set can but, I've never seen it.

I do that with my Z77/3770K all the time. It works very well.

Hi Magnus, it might not of been an HP.....but I knew it was possible...I just want low cost 4 x LCD panels is all.....Thought modern OEM desktops would do that out of the box with dGPU included.

Unfortunately, only certain chip sets.
