I have a HP DeskJet 970Cxi printer and had some color problem. just recently i my color ink was out so i replace a new one.
some colors does not come out correctly, such as BLUE which comes out Pink and Green come out Yellow.
I had also tried the "clean the print cartridges" from the printer properties option, along with downloading the most updated drivers from HP website. all with no luck. I even tried clean the ink cartridges nozzle.
does anyone have any other suggestion?

How much has it been used? The print head could be bad and in this case it's usually just cheaper and easier to get a new printer.

On HP printers the print head is on the cartridge itself. When you replace the cartridge, you get a new print head.

Take the printer cartridges out. Look on the back of them at the copper electrical contacts, make sure these are clean, if in doubt just lightly wet a paper towel and wipe them off. Do the same for the contacts in the printer as well.

You may have very well have got defective cartridge...

My guess is the colors are inverting (opposite) I would check the printer properties to make sure that this is not the case maybe a special profile is loaded. I had this issue happen once on a color laser. I was using printshop to make a calendar. The printer was using PS3 language. I installed it again using PCL5, worked ok. Good luck.

My color cartridge have over 90% ink left, is it possible that i might have a defective cartridge ?
When i took the color cartridge out i do see some blue ink when i wipe it out with a paper towel.
is my only option is to get a new color cartridge to find out?
