HP Deskjet 930C: Problems printing in Windows XP Pro

I've installed the XP drivers from HP's site some time ago, but have only started printing something recently and encountered this error:

<< System Error: The document cannot be printed due to a system error. Try printing again. If unsuccessful, restart Windows and try printing again. >>

My printer is connected to a powered USB hub. If I only print 1 page at a time, I don't get the error at all.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with the hub. I also have an Epson scanner (not switched on the same time as the printer) that can scan perfectly well.

I heard that XP had a USB problem, but when downloading drivers for my Aztech USB modem, the download included an MS USB hotfix, which was installed before the printer drivers were released by HP, and consequently installed by me.

Thanks in advance,

Well, I finally got the printer working after following HP's instructions on their website.

Actually, I saw those instructions awhile ago but was reluctant to try them out because the solution was kinda stupid, and was hoping to find a better solution. Anyway, I finally had to follow the "stupid" method because I needed to get some serious printing done.

Here's an outline of the "stupid" method: It requires that you have two printers installed - the first using XP's built-in drivers, and second using HP's downloadable drivers. They both point to the same printer, but I'm supposed to use only the second one (and set it to default). Still, it solved my problem although I still think it's kinda dumb to see two printer devices whenever I open my Printers folder.
