Using my parallel port, my 812C printer works just fine, cept for the fact that it's a pain to add/remove with the stiff parallel port screws and I'm giving a fair guess that using USB might help some of the lockups I get in games when someone prints from the network, figuring that when playing games while someone gets files from me, everything is smooth. So anyways, most of my printer probs have been localized down to this.
So, I get a USB cable today and I plug it in, XP detects and installs the printer. But whenever I try to print, the document sits in the queue and then about a minute later, tells me the printer can't be found. What gives? I'm pretty much stumped.
