Ok, so I've got a couple problems......
#1.) Old man with ZERO tech ability.
#2.) Old man with a Deskjet 722c that he LOVES and wants to use at ANY cost! (Lord, help me)
#3.) I can do and have done the 64-bit HP spooler error patch with success on Win7/64 on his old Dell desktop that had a real parallel port & was able to plug right in.
#4.) However, on the Dell E6400 laptop I recently got him, now I need to use an adapter cable to get it working and I'm not having success.
#5.) In almost all instructions suggestion goes like this: "Add Printer(Ignoring the "only if not usb" crap)>Use Existing Port>USB001...........but here's where my problems start. Old man's laptop NEVER gives a USB port option. So I grabbed my daughter's win7 laptop and I notice hers does the same thing. WTH is this USB0001 port???
If it isn't obvious, I'm frustrated.....and tired. (I have to do all of this on TeamViewer with the old man, too, so there's that)
TIA
