hp compaq password

i got a laptop from ebay and it had a bios password, so i opened the laptop and removed the bios battery clip, this still didnt reset the bios, pls help

Try to reflash it with a newer BIOS. You can find one on the Compaq website.

Hehe. Funny. I have a Toshiba notebook, which my aunt gave me, who already probably lost any proof of purchase whatsoever. Someday, when I somehow forget my password, remind me not to ask you for help. Hehe.

Well, I think the guy has probably gotten the idea by now that he won't get any help from us. My advice is just search the net. I'm sure you will find lots of unscrupulous sites out there. Hehe.
