HP CDwriter and Windows 2000

I have an HP 9500i cdwriter and windows 2000 running on a IBM Netvista. I installed the directcd portion of the software and now when windows 2000 reboots and when i try to log onto windows...it loads abit then reboots on the directcd splash screen. I tried going to last good configuration to try to uninstall the program, but it still loads the directcd and reboots. When I try to goto safe mode...it justs sits there on loading safemode screen. Any clues on how to launch windows without it running any programs in the back ground...like a hold shift key while logging in or something??

Whoah -- I thought that going into "safe mode" would give you options to load with minimal drivers or a step-by-step approval of which drivers to load.

I've never had any probs with my HP burner and win2K -- good luck getting it sorted out.

What version of DirectCD? Check ROXIO's site for updates.
