HP CD-Writer Plus software disk questions for a WIN2K setup.

I bought a HP CD writer recently which came with a software disk. One of the applications on the disk is Disaster Recovery for backups. Now, the disk does not install on WIN2K. Am I out of luck when running WIN2K to be able to use this software? Thanks...
