Hello

My wife is having issues with her HP 7280 All in One not working with her Laptop. She's running Vista.

When she goes to print something it tries to save the file as a xps.doc and doesn't do anything. She's uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it doesn't change a thing. We tried going to HP's website to d/l the latest driver and when it installs she gets this message:

service HP network devices support could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to stop system services.
Me R: please go to: _____________ for trouble shooting info about "fatal error" and "MSI.netdevicemanager01"

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I think Vista is still a POS OS, but it might not be the issue here

Thanks for any insight!

If you still have the driver install executable on your desktop, right click and click run as administrator.

Are you sure you're printing to the HP driver? It sounds to me like you're printing to the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" rather than selecting the correct printer. You can install/reinstall all day, but if you don't change your printer selection, it won't change a thing... :)
