So I *did* need to install the printer drivers...........(amazing that XP stores so many drivers yet I've NEVER had it store one I used before)........but my very vanilla, airlink apsusb201 print server does send print commands to it successfully.
After I installed the basic printer driver (205mb for JUST the drivers........are you f'n kidding me?) I was able to install the printer via XP because I'd already setup the PS on the correct ports, IP's, etc.
Works like a charm.
One thing that surprises me though...............WTF didn't they put a simple script to "auto off" this thing??? I mean.............my POS Canon S300 did the auto-on/auto-off thing and worked fine even w/ my print server & that sucker was 5 years old!
