'HP-branded SSDs have often been competitive. Buy (sic) what about HP memory?' - Tom's

It is manufactured and sold by Multipointe Channel Solutions under contract (the same company that produces their SSDs).

If they price it competitively (like their SSDs), I could see it being a viable option. However, if they are priced the same (or higher) than their competition, it's going to be a tough sell since it doesn't appear to be anything special, and only comes with a 5 year warranty.

I do like the look of the black heat spreaders though:

Only 5 year warranty? For an SSD, that's an advantage. But since multiple "major" RAM vendors, all offer "lifetime" RAM warranties, it's kind of a downer to only have 5 years.

Yeah, it kind of sucks concerning the warranty. Sadly, it seems like it could be a trend going forward.

Luckily, it's not as bad as OLOy's warranty is (which is basically 3 years):

While OLOy’s product listings claim the modules have a “limited lifetime warranty,” a company spokesperson told us that it provides a brand new product as replacement during the first year, the same but a likely refurbished product as replacement in years two and three and, after that, you can send in your RAM but may have to pay for repairs.
