I am running windows 98se and have an HP 930c which was working Ok until about a week ago. Now I'm getting this message saying that there's a problem printing from lpt1 so I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them and put a new 25 pin parallel to 36 pin centronics cable on it and tried to reinstall the drivers agsin but it's telling that it's not able to locate 930c on lpt1 or lpt3. I also removed the lpt port and rebooted the pc. Any help will be appreciated.

Try another printer, or try the 930C on another computer to verify finctionality. I have seen HP drivers hack up the registry before, so be prepared for some pruning.
