HP 930C, refilled color ink, now no workie. Connection?

I recently refilled my color ink tanks on a HP 930C. I printed out a few test pages and everything worked fine.

A few days ago I went to print out a letter and I received an error message that there was a color cartridge problem. Also the cartridge problem light is blinking.

I then replaced the color tank with a fresh factory color tank but the same problems continue.

Any ideas? Suggestions?

Does it with a factory cartridge as well?

Take it off and clean the electrical contact areas on the cartridge and the printer, and make sure it seats in there properly before you lock it in.
Check that your cable is tight and none of the pins are bent.
Reinstall the latest drivers.

Yes, the same problems with a new HP cartridge.

I've cleaned the contacts on both the cartridge and the cartridge holder.

Latest drivers installed. Swapped USB cables. The problem light blinks even when the printer is not connected to the computer.

Install any software or hardware just before it quit?
Any IRQ or USB problems in Device Manager?
Do you have a USB mouse or something else to try to verify USB is still working?
Possibility anything got bent where the cartridge plugs in, and it's not seating fully?

Healey,

Time to talk to HP support. Is your printer under warranty ??. Don't mention the fact that you refilled a cartridge.

Clog somewhere? You've cleaned the contacts, but have you cleaned the other side? I am a little new to inkjets (had a laser for 8 years -- weird seeing things in color!), but I'd think you could have dried ink somewhere along the entire path from cartridge to paper, not just at the contact.
