Staples has this good quality Burner in their clearance section for $149.90. Use one of the $30 off coupons floating around and you can get it shipped for $120.

Thanks to Gittyup for HP $30 Mail in rebate link! ( Expires Feb 3rd )

For what it's worth: I have this burner, and it's awesome. I got it a little more than a year ago (for, ironically, $149.95 with a price match), and I've never made a coaster. Installation is incredibly simple, and the software is pretty good.

By the way, there's a firmware upgrade for this drive that you should download and install if you buy it. Available at HP's Web site.

I ordered this from staples back in November.

Funny thing, I was never contacted about it being out of stock and it was priced at $99.99 back then.

Seeing it for $149.99, makes me think that they had it in stock after I ordered it but never honored their price and/or my order.

I heard something about a $50 credit being given if something is out of stock and is backordered and never fulfilled.
Anyone have any info on this??

another good deal...

go to pricewatch and search for a hp 4mb buffer cdr
you'll find a burner that matches the model number for a 50 rebate
so it looks like this

175
+11-shipping
-50
= 135 for a 10x4x32 drive

This is kind of a repost, but OM's Sunday paper flyer shows an HP 9350i 10x4x32 CDRW for $149. Someone previously mentioned having staples PM at $149, use a $30 of $100 coupon (code 91202) and then using the $50 online HP rebate. I did this at a staples store yesterday with no questions asked. HP 9350i for 127.16 out the door, final cost after rebate $77.16. Go get one...

Yep, much better deal with the Office Max Flyer PM. Today, I got the HP 9350i (10x4x32)at Staples for $149.95; used the $25 off $100 AND the $10 off $40 coupons - out the door for $114.95 plus tax. After $50 MIR it's only $64.99 total (and a faster ReWriter).

Or you could simply call OM and use their $30 off $150 coupons if you're a new customer and get the drive for $120 shipped. This is for the 9350i in a previous thread, by the way. It has a $50 rebate from HP.

apoppin:
I thought staples new policy didn't allow multiple coupons on one item. Did u just get lucky rep or did I get an unlucky one?

How?

Well, it was at a B&M Staples. I had two printed coupons from one e-mail; one for $10 off $40; the other for $25 off $100. The manager was ringing the register and I asked her if both could be used (since the total was over $140 and the coupons didn't say 'not in conjunction with each other'). She replied, "if the register allows it." It did.

Sorry forgot to explain that OM's weekly flyer ad said that the drive is on sale for $149.99 this week. When I called in, I didn't need to tell them about it, I think they actually had it as $149.99 in their system. Anyway if you go through OM and call it in, you don't need to pricematch staples, so it might save you some time.
