HP 6200C scanner in W2K, where does it go?

I can get my HP scanner working with my Tekram DC-315U controller, but as soon as I reboot the SCSI card and the scanner disappear from the device manager. from this point I have to reinstall and refind the scanner. As soon as I reboot the whole thing starts again.

Please Help!
