Costco in Kennewick WA. Check Your local Costco's; Maybe company wide
I think these are very good general purpose home printers.
HP's website has the duplexing module attachment for $50.00, so you can get into
an auto-duplexing rig for $140.00. (auto-plexing is printing on both sides of a sheet
of paper).

I think you mean duplex printing, not autoplex. Anyways, this printer uses ink like a iraqi oil well on fire. If you can use a ink refill kit, its worth it, otherwise, look elsewhere.

Actually ActiveX, I've been using my 5550 for ~6 months, printing several photos, and my 3yr old prints "Barney" like it is going out of style, and I'm STILL using the "starter" ink cartridges that came with the thing! I paid $140 for it as a general purpose printer, but with glossy photo paper it prints very good photos reasonably fast. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a good home printer, who is not printing tons of 8 X 10 photos.

Two thumbs up! (More if I had them)

Yep.
Except HPs don't fill well.
So, my recommendation is pass on an HP inkjet and get a Canon that uses BCI-3 cartridges.

I've been using this printer for over 3 months. Regular usage with some photos. I have about 75% of the color left and about 60% of the black left. not that bad.

good printer too.

There is a thread on refill inks HERE

As for refill ink, the HP carts for 56,57,58 are refillable with the Stratitec Inkjet Refill Kit available at Sam's Club. The price for the kit was reduced further to under $17 so it is a great buy. The Stratitec website mentioned in the thread above also has detailed instructions with pictures for refilling the cartridges and resetting the inkjet counter which would otherwise make use of a refilled cart slightly annoying.

Go ahead and try and refill HP cartridges, you might be lucky. I've "tried" to fill them a hundred times. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. At best you'll get 3-4 refills. I have refilled the same canon cartridge 100 times.

I can't afford to feed these HP beasts. They sell you the printer cheap and then give you the shaft.
If you don't use the printer much I guess its OK..lol
