hp 4100 laserjet internal print server question

if you have a 4100 laserjet with a jetdirect 610n internal print server card hooked up to a network, can you still send print jobs through the parallel port?
i have a hpprinter pal that receives fax messages and sends them to the printer through a parallel connection which i want to maintain, but i also want to get the printer on the network as well. can i have both the network and a parallel connection functioning?
