hp 4000 series printer

Hey,
I'm not sure if this should go here or networking or elsewhere.

I'm trying to set up an hp4000n printer with jet direct with a static ip address. I did a cold reset as this site recommended. but I cannot log in. I know it got a dhcp lease because when i log into the router the hostname with ip address shows up.

I have a Laserjet 4000 (PCL5) installed on my network, but not with JetDirect. I am using a Lanman network card (I bought it at Fry's in California a couple of years ago.) which connects via Cat 5 to my router, and it serves 4 computers.

I can't recall the process. I installed using the CD that came with the card. It does reflect here:
