I have an HP Laserjet 2100 and I'm wondering if it needs maintenance and how I might approach it. I picked it up as an HP refurb from an auction six years ago (practically new) and it used to retail for $700; so this should be a near top-of-the-line HP model.
The problems:
It squeaks as the paper comes through, which suggests that I need to go add some machine oil, but where and how would I access it?
The other problem seems to be paper curling. I think it happens when the paper tray isn't clicked down, but now it seems like it won't stay down on its own.
Just putting it out there in case anyone else has had this printer and has some suggestions. Kinda sad; it's only been through one-and-a-half toner cartridges.
