Yup, it's been doing this for a while every since I started using it agian after 2 (almost 3) years of being in a closet. The monitor came with an HP pavilion desktop with a 200MHZ processor, I thought I should clean up some closet space so I put it on my new desk and hooked it up to my laptop and seems to work. Didn't notice this until about 2 days after starting it's use agian. I haven't used a CRT monitor at home for about 2 years (5yrs or almost 6yrs as my own computer's monitor). I have two LCD screens right in front of me being used for multiple purposes, mostly for both of my desktops. The Model of the computer it came with was an HP Pavilion 7285 (still have). So I'm wondering is this a sign of it dieing? My friend has our monitor that we used with a 486 machine back in 1993 and it doesn't make this sound (I think), hard to tell because thier PCs are VERY loud.
Thanks
