Hp 1200 series problem

I have a problem with my dad`s Hp 1200 series,we have it and a Canon MP730 connected to an AMD XP 2000,256 Ram,GA-7VAXP
with Win 2000.
The problem is that the very right side of the page is being cut off by the Hp but if you print the same page with
the Canon this doesn`t happen.
In the settings for the printer, you can set the zoom settings, but the right side is still cut off no matter how far you bring it in.
I downloaded the PCL5e, PCL6 and PS drivers for the HP 1200 series for Win2000 from HP,I don`t know which one
of these it is but they all do the same thing.
