Has anyone been able to get this printer to work with usb? I thought about using a parallel-serial converter and then a serial to usb. Anyone try this?

 
Belkin sells a parallel-USB cable for what you wanna do. I tried it on my old HP 720 it worked good. Only drawback on using it is that it's not bi-directional. Only goes one way meaning you can talk to your printer but your printer can't talk to you. Which sucks when you are trying to do diagnostics.
