it uses an asus p4b266-vm or something like that, micro atx. ddr support. comes with 512mb ddr, 80 gig drive (western dig, segate and maxtor are their main suppliers) 16x burner, 16x dvd, 1.8 ghz cpu, ac97 crystal audio, firewire (TI chipset) and realtek nic, and lucent modem . this is what i know of these systems from what suppliers HP uses. the video card is an asus v3800 -m64 which well sucks, its a tnt2 m64 , but other than that its a nice system for the price. dont know if its northwood or not, probabl not since its a refurb and an older machine. Tatung (which has a system in compgeeks' systems area) is the company that builds and refurbishes these. this one comes with a winxp licesnse and software etc. They are refurbed to way past original factory specs (i've worked at the plant). This considering the drives and extra cards, is probably as good as most of the dell deals. You'll probably wanna get a new video card though.

that is the HP computer

$639 but not coupon since its a geek special

that is the lian li pc-601 case

alluminum with no power supply. $200 - 10% coupon

This does not tell you that it uses DDR. I would bet dollars to doughnuts this is SDRAM. Call if you don't believe me. I have ordered from them before and they were fine for me. I only have used them a half dozen times or so. It probably isn't a terrible deal but not even moderately warm...not trying to crap...just clarify.

i looked it up on HP's site, this model uses DDR. the 700 series is when they switched over from non ddr basically.

That looks like a pretty good deal to me- lots of the features people want in a consumer box these days, and it has a legal xp license!

I say hot deal.
