Howto tell whether a cpu on newegg is tbredA/B?

AthlonXP 1800+

That's the link to the 1800+'s at newegg...it says "Tbred," but is there any way for me to tell which revision it is (I'm looking at the OEM listing)? And if it's a revA, should I go for it anyway? Or should I cough up somre more $$ for like, a 2000+ or whatever which will be guaranteed to be a revB? (I want some good overclockability out of this cpu...and price is a major factor too.)

Thanks,
-Eric

DLT3C for 1700+ and 1800+ is TbredA. DUT3C are Tbred B for those models. Stepping will also end in A or B depending on the model.

The only guarantee for a T-bred B is 2400+ and above. Lower T-breds between 2000+ and 2200+ can be either A or B based on the part number. So no guarantees there. That's why every1 is waiting on the B's on the low end.

You go from cheap no B, to crapshoot A or B, to B but at a price.

I'll spin my question off of this thread; Will my KR7A-RAID mobo accept a 2600+ without a BIOS update? I've heard both ways and knew an AT'er somewhere knows the answer. TIA.
